What's this
about?
It's a free service that sends you an e-mail
reminder before your 0% or promotional credit card, loan or
mortgage rate ends. Credit card companies, banks and other
lenders often offer 0% or promotional rates to entice you
into using their products. However forget to transfer to
another deal and you could end up paying lots of interest!
How does it work?
Very simply. Register and create reminders
and we will let you know before your 0% or promotional rate
ends, giving you plenty of time to apply for a new deal. We
don't store your account details or any information about
your balances and we wont share your information with anyone
else.
Is this really free?
When we send you the reminder email we hope
that you will apply for your next 0% or promotional rate
card, loan or mortgage via our site. If you do this we are
paid a referral fee. Basically we save you money and the
companies pay for us to operate.
Why transfer a balance?
A credit card balance transfer simply means
transferring your debt from one card to another. This is
often good idea if you can transfer to a card offering a
lower interest rate.
Many credit card companies offer
introductory promotions such as 0% APR for a set period of
time on balance transfers or purchases.
Transferring debts to a card offering one of
these deals can ease the burden of repaying the debt.
However remember you still have to pay it back and if you
still owe money at the end of the promotional period you may
be liable for a high interest rate.
A card tart is someone who moves debt around
different credit cards to ensure that minimum interest is
paid on borrowing.
You should note that some of the lenders
charge a fee for a balance transfer.
How much will I save?
ok...So the answer to this really depends on
how much you owe and what interest rates you are being
charged. However as a rough estimate:
Debt £5000 (average over 12 months)
APR 18.8%
You should expect a saving (12 month 0%
interest card) of:
£800

What is the best card for me?
That is a difficult question to answer on a
general basis. You should consult an Independant Financial
Advisor before making any decisions if you have any
questions.
